The Deepening on Lok

The first tremor was dismissed as another complaint from Lok’s restless crust. The second split a seam in the stone. By the third, scouts near the old coordinates at 4772, 947 were staring into a passage that had not been open the night before.

Warm air rolled from below. Then came the sound—not one roar, but many, answering from chamber after chamber.

The Kimogila Cave had awakened.

A descent measured in teeth

The Cave Opens

Lok’s newly opened Kimogila Cave is a full underground hunt spanning twenty interior chambers. Its twisting route is populated by 29 denizens, from young hatchlings and spined snakes to enraged adults, giants, and dune-bred terrors.

The danger grows with the depth. Early chambers test the careless; the lower reaches punish the unprepared. Every turn carries its own population, position, and rhythm of return, making the cave a persistent expedition rather than a single-room ambush.

Three Warnings From the Survey Team

I

The Enraged

Enraged Kimogilas and enraged dune variants strike harder, endure longer, and bring punishing area attacks to hunters who press too quickly into their territory.

II

The Giants

Giant Kimogilas dominate the middle depths, while the giant dune breed turns one of the lower nesting chambers into a prolonged battle of attrition.

III

The Matriarch

At the cave’s end waits the giant dune Kimogila matriarch: heavily armored, fiercely resistant, and surrounded by hatchlings and venomous guardians.

Rare Components From the Nest

The Kimogilas of this cave carry more than the usual trophies. Hunters may recover Kimogila Claws and three grades of specialized tissue, each capable of improving crafted weapons through a different range of performance.

Common tissue offers a useful edge. Enhanced tissue reaches further. Exceptional tissue can rival the strongest creature-derived weapon components in the galaxy. The oldest and most dangerous inhabitants offer the best chances, but even the hatchlings make every hunt worth watching closely.

One ruin does not replace another

The Temple Still Stands

IV

Exar Kun Preserved

The existing Exar Kun adventure remains intact. Its encounters, progression, and identity have not been replaced by this new expedition.

V

A New Destination

The Kimogila Cave joins the galaxy as an additional hunting ground on Lok, broadening the dungeon roster without taking another journey away.

VI

Bring a Hunting Party

The lower chambers are built for prepared groups. Armor, healing supplies, crowd control, and a clear retreat route are strongly advised.

The last recorder entry

Something Moved Beneath the Dust

The survey team’s final beacon was recovered at the mouth of the cave. Its casing was crushed, but the recording survived.

There were footsteps first, retreating toward the surface. Behind them came the scrape of scales against stone, slow and impossibly heavy. A hunter whispered that they had counted every beast in the final chamber.

Then another roar answered from somewhere deeper.

“Lok has always looked empty from above,” the recording ended. “We know better now.”

The stone is open. The hunt descends.

Gather your party, mark the entrance, and find out what Lok buried beneath the dust.
