The Codex

Every hunter has a story. This is ours — where VLU came from, what it stands for, and how a name is earned.

Origins

No alliances. Only contracts.

Before VLU had a name, it had a problem: the galaxy was full of factions demanding loyalty — Rebel, Imperial, guild, syndicate — and none of them paid on time. A handful of independent hunters got tired of fighting other people's wars for other people's causes. They wanted contracts, not politics. Credits, not creeds.

VLU formed as a working guild first and a brotherhood second. No oaths to a flag. No colors to bleed for. Just a standing promise: if the price is right and the mark is real, VLU will find them — on Tatooine, in the Corellian underlevels, or in whatever cantina they thought was far enough away.

The name stuck because the results did. Word travels fast in the outer systems, and the word was simple: VLU doesn't miss.

The Creed

Rules every hunter carries

Unwritten until now. Every VLU hunter is expected to know these by heart before their first contract.

01

The contract is the word

Once accepted, a contract is finished or forfeited — never abandoned quietly.

02

No alliances, no politics

VLU does not take sides in Imperial-Rebel disputes. Credits are the only flag we fly.

03

Hunters don't hunt hunters

Contracts on a fellow VLU member are refused, reported, and settled internally.

04

Verify before you collect

Mistaken marks cost the guild its name. Confirm the target before the kill is claimed.

05

Share the net

Intel on active marks is reported to the bounty net so the whole guild benefits, not just one hunter.

06

Earn it, don't buy it

Rank in VLU is built on confirmed kills and reputation — not credits spent or time logged.

Rank structure

How a name is earned

Every hunter starts at the bottom of the net. Reputation is the only currency that moves you up.

01

Initiate

New to the guild and the net. Runs low-risk contracts to learn the trade and prove reliability.

02

Tracker

Confirmed kills on record. Trusted with independent contracts and access to the full bounty net.

03

Hunter

A name that means something on the net. Takes on high-value marks and mentors Initiates.

04

Marksman

Veteran standing. Consulted on contested contracts and guild strategy.
