A Price on Every Shadow

The hunter read the name twice. No Imperial seal. No Rebel authorization. Just a private citizen's credits and a grudge that had survived the cloning chamber. Across the galaxy, the bounty boards were waking up.

A contract of your own

Credits can carry a warning

You no longer need to wait for a personal defeat before putting a price on another player's head. Any profession can fund a contract; the hunters take it from there.

  • Use /placebounty FirstName 100000 to contribute 100,000 credits toward a named player's bounty. Use the character's first name.
  • The default and minimum contribution are 50,000 credits. Enter whole numbers without commas.
  • Contributions add to the target's reward, up to a total of 950,000 credits—below the million-credit VIP contracts.
  • Payment uses bank credits first, then cash. Insufficient funds or a contribution that would exceed the reward ceiling are rejected without charging.
  • You cannot fund a bounty on yourself or another character on your account.
  • An offline player can receive a contribution; their funded bounty becomes available to hunters while they are online.

A spark beneath the heels

Propelling Boots engage

Cornered in a narrow passage, the hunter stumbled through smoke and poison. Then the boots fired. A moment later, the passage was empty.

  • Master Bounty Hunters can activate /propellingBoots, including existing Masters.
  • Clears stun, blindness, dizziness, intimidation, immobilization and freezing, along with poison, bleeding, disease and fire effects, and returns the hunter to an upright posture.
  • Doubles movement speed for 20 seconds, with a 60-second recharge.
  • Cannot be used while dead, incapacitated or mounted. It does not heal wounds or provide immunity to new effects.

Propelling Boots and the new bounty command have now been confirmed working in-game after the required client update.

Names written in the mire

Nal Hutta remembers its explorers

Beyond Bilbousa's landing lights, travellers are leaving footprints where the swamp would rather keep its secrets. Their discoveries now leave a lasting mark.

  • Three exploration badges: Explorer of Bilbousa, Explorer of the Abandoned Spice Mine, and Explorer of the Eastern Grime.
  • Earned badges appear in your character sheet and when another player examines your badges.
  • Visit each discovery area to earn its badge. They are not automatically awarded or shown as earned before you explore, and earlier visits require a return.
  • These are exploration achievements, not selectable profession titles.

Before you leave the hangar

Your launcher needs the new charts

The server update alone cannot teach an old client the new commands. Close the game, update the launcher if needed, select Vlu Pre-CU, and run Scan/Update against the installation you actually play.

The former two-stage repair instructions are obsolete. Players with an older launcher or a missing Vlu.ClientUpdates.dll error should close the game and launcher and use the current complete Vlu launcher installer. Keep your game files and select their folder in the installed launcher. If installation reports an error, stop and contact support; do not uninstall your game, disable security software, or download individual DLLs elsewhere.

The current launcher uses the current patch service. After Scan/Update, vlu_player_bounties_skills_01.tre should be present in your game installation. Launch the game again to load the new commands.

The recent chronicles

The frontier is still waiting.

Our previous complete dispatch covers Nal Hutta's opening, Taanab navigation and badges, weapon repairs, expanded Bio-Engineer crafting, veteran rewards, dungeon loot and companion combat. Those reports remain available; this chapter adds the September 23–24 releases. Previously reported AT-RT and AT-PT mounting crashes are not claimed fixed by this update.
